Corel
Corporation
40'x60'
Corel wanted a booth that would establish them as a bigger player at CeBIT
(Hannover, Germany) than they had been in previous years. Two 50 seat
theatres, reception and customer service areas, 3 meeting rooms, a staff
lounge and 14 workstations for software
demos needed to be accomodated in the 40'x60' booth.
Towering angled walls draw attention from across the exhibit hall to a
20' diameter Corel balloon suspended above, which appears to be rising
from within the central circular tower. The lower walls radiating out
from the central structure and the curved outer walls give the booth a
strong sense of movement and expansion.
The design incorporated staff and meeting areas into the interior while theatres,
reception and demo stations were situated around the perimeter. Staff were
able to access any area of the booth without having to leave the space.
Rich finishes of brushed gold, black, and gold on cream give this booth a
powerful presence. The gold squares of Corel's logo were repeated on the large
walls in the form of tone on tone grid patterns.
Corel wanted to maintain their corporate exhibit program
image in a number of venues world wide while their main exhibit was in use.
Oulton & Devine accomplished this by the use of a variety of Octanorm
system structures using finishes and colours to match the main booth image.
