The COLD WAR & CANADA'S PEACEKEEPERS
Canadian War Museum - Ottawa, ON
opened 1996

An historical march from the Cold War to the present day peacekeeping duties performed by Canadian soldiers.

The 7,500 sq ft 'Peacekeepers' gallery features a wide variety of exhibit display methods to accommodate the many artifacts and themes portrayed.

Oulton & Devine's winning design includes interactive displays (both hands-on and computer based), videos and life size dioramas. Dioramas featured high realism mannequins in a variety of different environments and displayed with full size vehicles and other artifacts. Among the vehicles displayed is an actual Kiowa helicopter which required specialized planning and liaison for installation on the third floor of the museum.

O&D provided turnkey design of all exhibit components including production drawings, graphic design & digital layouts as well as installation supervision and props display.
