NATO: A Pledge for Peace
Canadian War Museum, Ottawa

opened 1999

A history of Canada as a member of NATO .

Oulton & Devine provided the winning design which incorporated a new exit from the existing 'Korean Gallery' and added the subject matter to a 1500 sq ft space before the existing 'Cold War and Canada's Peacekeepers' Gallery. The two existing galleries were modified and updated to provide a seamless transition. The new gallery complements the existing galleries in style and presentation with the use of high realism mannequins, dioramas, similar showcase styles and graphic treatments.

Each of the three galleries on the Third Floor of the existing Canadian War Museum were designed by O&D - from conceptual design, through technical drawings and graphic design to installation supervision. These galleries were successfully designed and produced to suit extremely tight budget constraints.
