The DOUKHOBORS

An overview of the history of the Doukhobors in Canada.

This 4000 sq ft temporary exhibit featured a 20 seat theatre, showcases to display farm implements, furniture, textiles and clothing as well as a variety of graphic treatments such as the 30 ft long timeline (shown at left).

Other features of the exhibit included the recreation of a Doukhobor porch, a model of a Doukhobor village, and various interactives such as discovery drawers, true/false quizzes and
photo album flip panels, which followed the history of a family from their arrival in Canada through to present day.

Oulton & Devine were responsible for design of all exhibit components, production drawings, graphic design & digital layouts as well as installation supervision.
