Peter was born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia and has lived most of his life in Ottawa, ON. He graduated from the Advanced Interior Design Program at Algonquin College in 1988 and won a project design competition in his graduating year. He also received the Peter C. Huggett award for academic excellence.
Peter interned with the Canadian Government Exposition Centre and learned valuable skills from a variety of designers, managers and production staff over the years, many of whom continue to be excellent associates. He was fortunate to work on feature projects such as the Canada Pavilion at the World Expo in Brisbane, Australia and the Bravo Canada and European trade show programs. While Peter was developing his design and detailing skills, he was able to watch and learn fabrication techniques from master craftsmen/women. He also learned firsthand the many details required for on-site supervision and installation in foreign countries.
In 1992, Peter and his design partner joined forces and have been designing exhibits together for national museums, interpretive centres, national and international trade shows and local events. He has a calm and humorous side which helps keeps the fun in and the stress out projects!
